Have you ever dealt with rejection, abandonment and mistrust? Are you suspicious of all people that say, they love you? Do you struggle with confidence? What about growing up in a divorced home, feeling unloved and believed you had no value. Did you feel ugly and unwanted? Did you feel all alone in your childhood, that no one really understood your heartache? I struggled so hard in school when my father left and my grades dropped. In my mind all I could think about was my daddy returning. I felt lost without him. Have you ever wonder if God was really there or even cared, Feeling fatherless and broken. Needing the love of your Daddy but he was nowhere to be found. Our childhood plays a huge roll in how we view Father God and even how we trust Christ. If we feel unloved, unwanted, ugly and believing that our own daddy's didn't want us, how can we trust a God that would let us lose our daddy's by death or divorce? All along knowing God is real but screaming, don't you care God? Are you really there God, I can't see you? God has shown me He is close to the broken hearted. (Psalm 34:18) He has also shown me, that He is Father to the Fatherless. (Psalm 68:5). He has filled my heart in so many ways but I still struggle with receiving LOVE and truth. I still pray that the Lord's heart beat would beat within me. Matthew 11:28 says, "Come to me. All who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." I would often ask God not to take his Holy Presence from me and found out later it was in Psalms 51:11. David had the same require. God does have compassion on us. The Bible has over 300 references on love. He has a plan for all of us if we learn to sit as His Feet listening to the heart of God. Jeremiah 29:11-13 says, He has a plan and purpose for our lives. When we trust the power of God, we experience peace, not pain.
