It seemed like Steven Goodson had it all. His beautiful wife, Sharon, was a lingerie model and aspiring actress. Together they owned and dwelt in a condo with a trendy address in New York's Tribeca and lived well on the earnings from his successful career as a journalist, playwright and bestselling author. Unfortunately his wife's infidelities landed them in divorce court where her attorney saw to it that she was awarded the condo and a staggering settlement. Loading up the car for which Sharon had no use and the judge therefore saw fit to award to Steven, he set out to escape Manhattan and his shattered life. Steven continued on his elusive quest until a chance decision in Nebraska led him to the town of Buford in search of gasoline for his Taurus.
