Cheyenne Ayers is in the process of growing up in Michigan, near Detroit. In 1989, she's eleven years old and moving fast toward adulthood, but she's happy, living with her mother and older brother and sister. Then a series of events and tragedies shakes her world down to its core, leaving her wondering who she really is. One of her siblings disappears, and from that moment on, everything changes forever.
