Credit Check is not your typical autobiography - my goal is giving credit to the people that have made my business career possible. Most of my career has been related to banking and investments and banks conduct a "credit check" to make certain a potential borrower is credit worthy. In my case, I want to "give credit where credit is due" and a title borrowed from the banking industry just seemed appropriate. You can pick and choose any chapter or article to read as the following chapters are not necessarily in chronological order and do not need to be read in sequence. One's legacy is not based on the number of titles, board positions or deals completed - a person's legacy is only as good or bad as the relationships they have established. Many business "friends" quickly fade away when the business relationship ends; a few become personal friends for decades. This book represents my tribute to many, but not all, of the people who have helped me. I fear the availability of information on the Internet today is being viewed by many as a replacement for the need to seek advice and learn from the personal experience of other people. Wikipedia cannot replace the value of the experience and judgment you will gain from your mentors.
