Resurrected is book two in the series "Destiny" and continues the story found in book one "Raphael." Lexie Conway, having been brought back from the dead by Raphael, discovers she is pregnant with Raphael's child-a child she believes will also be born with powers. Taking her place in death, Raphael was cast into timelessness, in a place between dimensions, a place between Heaven and Hell and struggles within its non-existence. Having survived the battle on the island fortress of Rommel, Ryan Mathews and Lexie flee to Maine to be with the Raphael's friend and benefactor, Hal Winter, and his wife Elle. However, after the release of Rommel's deadly virus, the world is left in chaos and the government struggles to regain control with a new vaccine. While on a mission to rescue Raphael's mother, Ryan finds two children, who like Raphael, have a similar story as Raphael, and the quest begins to find other children of angels. These children come to together, and under the guidance and care of Ryan and Lexie, become the hope for the world; for Rommel did not die on the island, and his thirst for power and control of the world also leads him in a search for these children, who like Raphael have powers which he wishes to control. Seeing how Lexie continues to suffer the loss of Raphael. The children take on a quest of their own to help Lexie find closure-but Rommel strikes again.
