So many people want to write about pregnancy! This book is different. I want to tackle the postpartum perspective. Having a baby can be traumatic on the body and the mind. For me, however, it was a living nightmare. We've all heard of baby blues and postpartum depression. But have you heard of postpartum psychosis? I had not, until it was too late-until I had gone down that twisty path of out-of-control hormones, sleepless nights, medication, and more. This is my story. It is real, it is scary but I also hope that it is helpful to those who have gone through this. You are not alone, and there is a way to beat postpartum psychosis! If you have not gone through this, and are reading it anyway, good for you! I want women to be informed about what could, and sometimes does, happen after the wonderful pregnancy phase.
