Protect Me Not

Mary is a well respected executive, married for nearly 10 years to a seemingly strong and understanding man. When her previous relationship continued to haunt her, she emotionally shut down. The attempts to ignore her abusive past were an ostensibly hard task. Reliving each violent and often cruel event was her attempt at self healing. Each time she allowed herself to revisit those memories; her emotional wellbeing suffered. Her continuous withdrawn state threatened her marriage to Victor; the only solid relationship she had ever known. Her constant procrastination to seek professional help made matters worse. When Mary did seek treatment, it brought her more trouble. When therapy put her in the direct line of danger, Victor did what he always did; he secretly tried to protect her. The multitude of lies and deception were eventually revealed forcing the unthinkable to happen.
