HOLD FAST opens at an LAPD Christmas party where the victim is found shot to death in a party dress outside the restaurant. An inspection of her locker reveals a stack of nude and semi-nude Polaroid photos of male police officers, including a photo of Shea's homicide unit at a recent crime scene.
