The Book Of Romans: A New Testament Bible Commentary

To all in Rome who are loved by God and called to be his holy people: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 1:7 (NIV) Let us sit in the shade and experience exactly what the Romans experienced as they read Paul's letter to them. I think it makes sense; I think it is worthwhile for us to do so. We will never regret it. Let us internalise Paul's revelation, mindset and exhortation. Let us claim the message as our own and live it to the full. Let us pretend for a moment that we are, in fact, the Romans to whom Paul directed his letter. After we are done I think our families, friends and neighbours will not be able to recognise us because of the glory on our faces and in our hearts. What a transformation that would be for us as we strive towards our next and higher level in Christ Jesus!
