Life Is An Interview

This is it; you have to get this right. You absolutely need this job! You submitted your resume and they called you back for an interview. You are putting your best foot forward. You've got to because you need to knock it out of the park. Attentive? Yes. Calm? Well, sort of. You make one last look in the mirror to make sure no residues of lunch are on your teeth; you pop a mint and go and wait for your appointment. You want to appear as patient and cheerful as you can. Your resume is important, but you know that the interview will decide whether you sink or swim. We've all been there, and sometimes we did well, while other times we stunk it up. Let me tell you, all of life is an interview. Let me ask you, what are your plans for the future? Oh, excuse me, I don't mean your future years here on earth. I'm asking about eternity. Our plans for next month and next year are important, but it is safe to say, the move into eternity is much weightier. Have you made plans for it? It came to my mind the other day to write this book: Life Is An Interview. We spend so much time just focused on life here that we give relatively little attention to the really important part of our lives; that is, where we will spend eternity and what we will do there. Through this short book I hope to direct your attention more on the life to come and a little less on the things of this world.
