The story unwinds and intertwines at a reasonable fast pace.There are three mini stories set in Penny's past that support the main plot but also tell their own tale. Penny has no interesting sex story to tell, will she become an object of public ridicule. Has she been betrayed in order to win a ?20 bet? Who is the killer stalking Penny? Will Nick recue Penny and become her knight in shinning armour that she has waited 20 years for.
