Petra the Absurd is a wine-soaked tale about a man grappling with the loss of his wife, Marjorie, and struggling to manage his routine in the unexpected world. Documenting every thought and interaction in a book, Petra makes himself vulnerable to the streets of Woodland, conversing with strangers in a brash way, trying to understand more of himself and coming to terms with uncertainty, while struggling to find meaning. Forced to deal with a forgotten past, Petra is sent into a downward spiral. In the midst of it all, a mysterious child is thrusted into Petra's life, making him confront his own dysfunctions and inflexibility. The child, Michante, helps Petra to look beyond himself, acting as a confessor and expand the perceived universe. This is a timeline of Petra's potential reconstruction or, possible eternal deconstruction.
