Surviving: A Colon Cancer Diary

This is a story of survival. It details the author's journey through a stage four colon cancer diagnosis, laparoscopic surgery, and chemotherapy treatment. Beverly shares the diary information of her own cancer treatment experiences and solutions along with those of seven other colon cancer patients. Like many cancer patients, Beverly was blindsided when told she had colon cancer. Throughout her chemotherapy visits and management of cancer treatment side effects, she kept detailed notes of what was discussed and prescribed. Dr Amy Law, her oncologist, encouraged Beverly to share her diary notes in a book, in order to increase awareness of colon cancer and to empower readers with positive experiences of the patients interviewed for this book. Profits from the book will be donated to the Cancer Society for cancer research.
