A story of star-crossed lovers, a hard rock band, Vietnam, Weathermen, a mysterious ancient shield and an international terrorist plot all rolled into one fast-moving, historical novel that comes out of the 60's generation. "Shiloh's Shield" opens on a sound stage in Hollywood in 2001 where oscar-winning Irish Director Seamus Rourke is becoming unhinged because Hezekiah Jones, 70's rock icon and actor, has shown up asking to borrow Rourke's wardrobe and make-up crew for the singer's own funeral. The action then flashes back to the 60's where it all began on campus of Southern Illinois University. The son of a preacher man, Hezekiah Jones, and his best friend Paul McCloud, enroll at SIU in 1966 amidst a backdrop of Vietnam and the 60's mores of sex, drugs and rock n' roll. On his first night in college, Hezekiah, who wants to be a rock star, meets Scott Shiloh, the leader of a local cultish band. Before the night ends, Hezekiah is in jail for drunken horseback riding.
