As humanity has grown, so has the universe. The vastness of space became less an object of imagination but a possession to be exploited, infinitely revealing answers to all things great and small. The traveler within each generation kept reaching, stretching farther out for the abyss, eventually into the abyss and as it has been quoted, if you are caught staring deeply into the abyss you'll find it staring back at you, into you, through you. Humanity reached the stars and learned how fragile existence is. There were others waiting. They reached back in their own ways. The subtle exchange rippled forward and changed us. With all change there are opportunities for greatness; the evolution of a species into something more profound, more capable. And of course, the opposite is equally possible; progress is stifled, buried in primal fears and left to suffer unkindly through it's infancy or eventual extinction. Tales of Reign begins the journey of one man trying to find his way home. Wherever that may be. However that may occur. He has to discover what it is to exist at the forefront of two colliding cultures as revelation upon revelation of the gaps between them stoke a fiery and seemingly impassable divide. For the first time in his existence, Reign will reach out, he only has hope that there is something waiting, someone waiting to accept that. The pathway beyond this meeting is one of conflict and separation. The foundation of the future is within his unique grasp.
