Observations From The Front

Commonplace books have been in existence for hundreds of years. They are the results of readers' collections of poems, letters, quotes, passages from favorite books - whatever interested the collector. This book includes the author's specific interests, largely centered around books and reading. The need to gather them into a book was the result of a cancer diagnosis and the need to get things in order. All of the notes, poems, quote and excerpts gave the author's life meaning and substance. It was something that she wanted to pass on to family and friends as a final gift.
