HOW JACK GOT FLAT is a fun story about change, adapting to this change and learning to discover happiness once again. Jack the Cat is a wanderer who one day makes a decision with little thought of consequence and it leads to an unfortunate accident that forever changes his life. A full color illustrated story for young readers to read or listen to as Jack learns to deal with this change to his life and how he discovers the new and exciting things he can now do. This funny, happy story is meant to reach out to anyone who has a challenge in their life; speaking to moving on and finding joy in the challenge. It also touches on the concept of forgiveness. The book also helps young readers to learn words as certain words are always seen in the same color. There are stars on each page too, reflecting what is happening in the story, for young readers to consider as well. This little cat has been with me for a long while and now finally available for others to enjoy. I graduated from Moore College of Art & Design, majoring in illustration. I have been working as an artist since 1970; first in an Art Studio, drawing illustrations for advertising and then, in an engraving company as a graphic artist designing corporate logos, letterheads and business cards. I have been a free-lance artist for: magazines, corporations and for individuals desiring portraits of their homes or pets, all while raising my children. In more recent times I have been selling signed and numbered limited Edition Lithographs and Gicle prints of my nautical drawings in galleries and through ETSY. I have always wanted to both write and illustrate children's books. When my first child was born I wrote and began to illustrate this story of HOW JACK GOT FLAT. It has taken a while for me to actually get this little story into print. The birth of our granddaughter was the inspiration. I have several other stories to tell about Flat Cat Jack as well and hope to keep moving forward.
