She graduated Magna Cum Laude and was inducted into the Promethean Kappa Tau Honor Society in 1978. However her greatest accomplishment she feels is when she received Jesus Christ as her personal savior in February, 1981. She than began a pilgrimage through many obstacles and challenges over the years culminating in overcoming through Christ to write this book which was a long desired dream.
