However, we are the only ones who can choose in agreement with the Holy Spirit to be sanctified; no one else can choose for us. We are the only ones who can choose which direction our lives will take - the way of the divine nature or the way of the carnal sinful nature. If we choose to continue in the way of the carnal sinful nature, we are also free to do so, even after we have received the Lord Jesus.
