Aim of the CPEC is not to empower Pakistan and its people. In view of many Pakistanis, this new relationship is not an economic partnership with China. It is a new form of colonialism, but if the Pakistani ruling elite, and people of Pakistan are happy with this new relationship then no one from outside can help them.
