One Man And His Dog: ... Came To Tune A Piano

The arrival of blind piano tuner, Nathan Sadler, and his spectacularly unusual guide dog has effects more far reaching than anyone at the small village school could have predicted. Having battled against the perceptions society has of blind people and their capabilities Nathan is used to overcoming obstacles and proves to be an inspiration to pupils and staff alike. Through his determination and courage many changes are wrought among the staff members who are almost like his extended family. The most dramatic changes are in the life of the school cook Margaret who, when very young, was subjected to terrible cruelty which robbed her of her family and everything she had loved. After detective work to rival any crime novel and several large slices of good luck Margaret is reunited with her family and in the process guilty sins of the past are absolved.
