In recent years, there has been a growing desire for better intercultural and international understanding, worldwide. In addition, there is a longing for more freedom and happiness within families and nations in our increasingly interconnected but also complex world. I am from the Netherlands and have lived in Africa for 14 years, Italy 6 years and Korea for 13 years. I have been married for 32 years; my wife and I have one child. I was raised in a family of 10 children, by loving and responsible parents. I have traveled widely in Korea, Europe, Africa, North and South America. My personal experiences with numerous cultures and my interest in simple family life and education, as major sources of either happiness or misery, fortune or failure, prompted me to share my insights in writing. I do not claim to have all the answers. But I do have some very interesting ones, and I would like to share these with the many people who are interested in improving their intercultural understanding and international cooperation. I am confident that this book can meet the expectations of such people, both in Korea and in the West. This book is about education of children within the Family for parents and grand parents of growing children. The book provides a wide variety of topics from `addressing others` to `sitting styles` and `Family-work ethics`. These are topics that can be discussed around the table in the atmosphere of your own Family.... This book is for all people from different backgrounds; therefore it is not written from a purely our religious or faith viewpoint. The writer has lived and worked with his Family in Korea for the past 15 years, 14 years in various nations in Africa and the rest of his life in several countries in Europe.
