From Antietam To Texas

After being forced to abandon their home and dreams, destroyed during the battle of Antietam, Jim and Sarah loaded their covered wagon and headed to the frontiers of Texas. There they encountered a very hostile environment due to the Native Americans depredations! Upon arrival, Sarah looked to Jim and asked, "Will there ever be a place of peace and safety?" Jim replied, "Our bones may have to be in the ground but one day this will be a good, decent place to live."
