The Indwelling Spirit Of Christ: Finding Life In His Presence

Christians often focus on the date we were "born again" and the day we will be with Jesus in Heaven, neglecting life with Jesus now. We pray for Jesus to be manifested at His second coming, but the apostle Paul also prayed the "life of Jesus would be manifested in our mortal bodies" (2 Corinthians 4:10-11). "For of His fullness we have all received" (John 1:16). The message of Jesus we will examine begins in John 14 at the Last Supper, just after Judas left to betray Jesus, concluding at the end of John 17, where Jesus prays we will be perfected by unity with Him. Previously Jesus said we must be perfect. Now He introduces the New Covenant, the way of perfection-living by the life of our very significant Other - our indwelling Lord.
