Harper and Joey grew up best friends. They were both broken in different ways, but they were drawn to each other and formed a great friendship. After high school, Harper left to escape her inner demons while Joey remained, missing his best friend. Harper never felt like she belonged or was loved. She was a foster kid who bounced around until she was eight-years old. Though the Mitchell's took good care of her, and a boat load of other foster kids, she never felt like it was real.
