Friar Tuck, who has closed his mind against all non-Christians, has a strange encounter with Merlin the Magician. Beatrice must let go of things she is attached to before her life can move on. The forest if alive with mysteries and secrets, the greatest of which concerns Robin Hood. Where is he? Why is he the character that represents illusion? As the story unfolds in Sherwood Forest a 21st century journalist lies in hospital after a road accident. He too must confront the roots of what is wrong with his life and gradually he experiences dreams and revelations that lead him to write the story of the Sherwood outlaws.
