POLICE STATE is a story set in a near future United States. Senator Koehlor, in collusion with the mysterious Man in Black, has struck a controversial arms deal with China, in order to flood POLICE departments with weapons, and secure America's borders in a POLICE STATE with him and Commissioner Gordon Cecil as it's leaders. China agrees to do so under the condition that America shoot it's military off to the stars, in search for habitable worlds. Act 1 Our story begins with Officer Dominic Crawley and his training officer Nick Pettis investigating a strange homicide. Officer Crawley is promptly, and strangely promoted to Detective, unassigned from Officer Pettis, and reassigned to the beautiful, oft annoyed Officer Alexis Williams. Upon the revelation that the murder is related to a serial killer, interdepartment intrigue ensues and results in the suicide of the Deputy Commissioner Dino Conrad. (I, Detective) Several years later Detective Crawley, Detective Williams, and a rookie are on patrol, when they see two people run out of an abandoned building. Detective Williams tells the rookie to open fire, drawing the ire of Detective Crawley. Detective Williams and Crawley are in love, and she wants him to become a great POLICE officer, even Commissioner; but she knows that he will have to become more aggressive if that will ever happen. The two people who ran from the building were actually two young girls, Shawnna Corceaga, and Kendall Jai. Shawnna is a young resistance fighter, who is fighting back against the oppressive POLICE STATE, Kendall is a young, frightened girl who Shawnna rescued from the line of fire. Shawnna takes Kendall to Jordan Jones's traphouse. Jordan Jones is a local drug lord who enjoys a certain amount of impunity from the POLICE STATE because of his extensive network of resources. Shawnna, who's mother was a drug addict knows that he has a working phone, and wants to use it to try to contact Kendall's parents. The two young ladies meet Jordan Jones' sons, the gentlemanly Jor Junior and the thuggish Sixxx Thousand. Unsuccessful in the attempts to contact the girls mother, they are sent on their way, to the next chapter (Dog Days: Interlude) Act 2 Ten years in the future, the POLICE STATE is a powerful entity, with Commissioner Cecil being a near presidential figure. Captain Barton, the violent commander of the POLICE STATE kill squads has sent his best agent, Detective Crawley to assassinate a Civilians Resistance Unit (CRU) leader, the beautiful Shawnna Corceaga. His plans are thwarted by Shawnna's cunning, and intelligence, and he is caught off guard completely once he realizes that he's been conscripted to attack a hospital with several young patients. Across town, two officers are patrolling, Toby King and Randle Rude. Toby King is young, and still very idealistic, while is partner Randle Rude is, well rude and violent, with a shoot first mentality. After a gun involved incident in a residential neighborhood, the pair find themselves face to face with the young Jor Jones, and his crew of thugs. A fight ensues, which ends with Jor being hauled off to prison. As he is put on a bus to Red Hammer Prison, Detective Crawley is being locked up, as the prisoner of CRU. Both men being relegated to darkness. (POLICE STATE)
