At Pentecost the Holy Spirit clothed a small company of believers with power from on high. A vast movement of God soon spread throughout the Roman world. It was God's intention that in every city and location there might be a united in love testimony to the Lord Jesus throughout the whole world. Sadly, by the end of the first century A.D. this great movement was in decline. Over many centuries the church became deeply divided until today there are countless divisions. In these last days it is the Lord's intention to gather together a remnant to bear the testimony of Jesus as it was at the beginning.
