Case Specific Studies of Innovation in Housing will investigate innovative, case-specific housing technologies and processes surrounding the manufacture and implementation and examples of homebuilder's attempts to bring innovation into the industry. Case-studies will focus on the technologies and certifications driving building environmental performance in the US housing stock. Individual chapters will explore statistical modeling analyzing the diffusion of these technologies and certifications. The authors will provide researchers, practitioners, and regulators with detailed descriptions of variables, decisions and actions critical to the advancement of innovation in housing. This text will draw on the recent state of innovation in the housing industry and propose a path forward for leading edge technologies. To do this, the editors will focus on the research techniques that have helped to create new knowledge on innovation in housing, and discuss how looking backwards through research can help practitioners and policy-makers and market leaders.
