Rich and Katie Pettigrew no sooner move into their dream home when Katie decides that something is terribly wrong. The move-in condition home now seems obviously void of a built-in barbecue, french doors, imported fabrics, and a luxury vehicle in the driveway. Their neighbors wear designer clothes, scurry indoors from the offensive sound of their gardeners' leaf blowers, and never find the need to fulfill mundane tasks because they have "people" to handle it.
