Marie: Bond Unbroken

Marie Nelson, previously known as Sara Marie Drake, has for several years been living essentially in hiding when she is offered a job as a pastry chef for a restaurant in Australia. Hoping the authorities looking for her will not follow her out of England. Marie accepts the position and sets out to create a new life for herself. In Sydney she soon encounters Ashton McCormick, a widower with four children who is struggling to manage his own life. As their relationship develops, the truth about her background is gradually revealed, and she eventually confesses to Ashton that she had been wrongly convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison. Despite the considerable obstacles they face, the two manage to find love in the mutual support of each other. The story starts in England, moves to Australia and Italy and then back to England. There are twists and turns in this fast-paced adventure that leave the reader entranced as the story unfolds. "Marie" is a story that has something for everyone. They travel from England with Marie, to Italy to find information to clear her of charges and back to England. It is a fast-paced novel that will appeal to the reader. It is a blend of romance and intrigue. This is not a romance novel. I center more on the character development and motivation.
