Amy Finds the Fairies at Nome Aploom: And the Fairy Book of Magic

Amy is 15 when her dad and herself is stuck somewhere on the Mississippi River on a small houseboat. There is water in the gas and Amy's dad cannot figure out how to fix it. A fairy shows up to warn Amy to stop projecting her thoughts. Amy has to fix the problem with the engine and learn how to get moving again. Her mom forced her to make this trip to get to know her father.
