Distressing Waves : Inviting Jesus Into The Storm

Distressing Waves is a book that came together in the wake of a series of retreats that I have been giving in parishes throughout the country. The theme of my retreat, addresses the issue of the storms that come by way of trials and difficulties, often impacting our lives. My hope for the reader is to recognize the importance of inviting Jesus into their storm, in order to find the comfort, consolation and the peace of Our Divine Healer. Fr. John J Gordon is a Catholic priest with The Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate. Fr. John has been assigned to St. Mary's Church in San Antonio Texas, where he has served as pastor since 2009. In Addition to "Distressing Waves" Fr. John is the author of "Upon an Untrodden Path" (Recognizing Gods presence along one's personal journey).
