I believe that I was born with the disease of addiction, it was just waiting for the right time to shine. The summer going into grade nine proved to be that moment. I loved how alcohol and drugs made me not care or think about how sad I was. Over the years I have been and still am addicted to many things. I've struggled with this disease, I have lost and I have conquered. Just when I think I'm in control along comes a crisis or a new relationship that tests my boundaries and my will.
