Mimic is a collection of poems written between 2016 and 2019. With roots anchored compassionately in our past, Mimic offers a glimpse perhaps of -the future of being human.Mimic represents one perspective of evolution, the replication of a species. What we choose is usually something we wish to mirror or mimic. Are we choosing to cultivate the wisdom of our ancestors or will we mimic fear, aggression and greed?I offer in these words to follow the possibility that our origin is hope and with courage we can uncover, like an archeological dig, the discovery that humanity is intricately woven together with all things earthly and spiritual -with love, the unseen energy of all things.Might we come to seize this new day and a new way of living - embrace life fully with empathy because it's who we are, and by inclusion, create within our New Humanity -a honest life...This method for living well, is the vision of extraordinary Love.- Richard Silvia
