There have been numerous stories, movies, short films, and telefilms which concern an 'actress' and the Bollywood life. The glamour associated with this life is one of the reasons that Page 3 went on to form supplements to full-fledged newspapers. The human psyche loves news associated with actresses. Film magazines nearly exclusively featured an actress on their cover pages. Though an actor has considerably and absolutely longer shelf lives than an actress, it is the photo of an actress on the poster which is talked about or made into a money milling controversy. While the visual industry is flooded with movies and shows which claim to show what the life of a movie star is; but various interpretations later, we end up seeing the same thing - sadness and rejection. There are people who are adamant about the frivolous sexual nature of the BTS life of an actress. However, we forget that a film star is but a human. MRIYA attempts to break these stereotypes; it does not sexualize an actress or portray her as a thing of desire. The book has been inspired by 'n' number of interviews on television. It derives its simplicity from the hearts of fans who appreciate an actress for everything she is and not just her looks. It a celebration of what a fan is for a celebrity and vice versa. This is the spirit of MRIYA. It is hard to believe that there are people who are fans of an actress not just for her looks but for what she is as a person. They appreciate her personal choices which she shares on social media and do not troll her for those. They have the purity of appreciation and adorability for an actress, the one which we have for our blood relatives. Saahil in the book is one of those. A person who is such a dedicated fan of Keisha that it is like being a relationship for him. He imagines her in the way he thinks she would be; but when he meets her in person, he is equally acceptant for how she is different from his imagination. People attempt to ape film stars, the rise of TikTok is proof. The unlimited number of fan clubs on Instagram is proof. The maximum followed celeb on Insta is an actress. We all have that person in our lives whom we like to listen to or watch. It can be a religious person, some politician, or an orator. We respect this person. And that is what is the essence of MRIYA. It is only when you respect a person does true love and friendship emerge.
