In 1998 God sent the author to a remote jungle town in Peru. Reluctantly, Leon shut down his successful Atlanta business and moved to Iquitos, Peru - though he had no idea what he would do when he got there. Leon immediately fell in love with the indigenous people. He started a wawawasi (free daycare center) for 25 children; free milk program for 200 children; girls' volleyball team to help combat teen pregnancy; and a house for abandoned children.All went well the first year. Then sins from his past caught up with him. The author was on the verge of returning to Atlanta. It will take a miracle for him to remain in Peru.
