In my quiet time one morning, I was thanking God for everything, the good, the scary, the trials, all of it. I realize I am who I am today because of everything I have gone through, and am stronger for it. As I was reminiscing, I began to think, it was the 20 and it was the 40 and it was for a purpose, a training for destiny, and a time to be what I was in each season. For me, the 20 years were the years I lived in a compromised state, and felt perfectly fine in it. In fact, I didn't even realize it until the rug was pulled out from under me and I began to fall. After the fall, I began to truly seek answers to the many questions that never seemed to pop up in the safe compromised state. In the quest for answers, I kept remembering the 40 years in the wilderness. You know they stayed that long because they complained. If they had not complained, how much differently things could have been for them. In fact, the complainers did not get to enter into the Promised Land. God gave the land to the next generation. This book represents a time of compromise and a time to find destiny. Looking for destiny came after the cushy place left. I hope this helps you to discover something in yourself that may be dormant that needs to be awakened. May this ignite a new search for your deeper peace and joy to the fullest. It is possible to live in it in this earth.
