We are all, in some measure at least, magician and mystic, creator and seeker. Observe the young and watch the world of magical and imaginative, creative and mystical reality which s/he creates. It is something we are born with, something that is as natural as our predilection for eating and sleeping. It is only as we mature and struggle to exist in this physical world that some lose, at least temporarily, the ability to view the world with the simple awe of discovery inherent in every youngster. The aging process, which is a natural transition in the life cycle, permits one the opportunity to rediscover the simplicity of childhood and provides time for meditation and contemplation, preparing one for the next stage of the journey, passing over from this physical state to the next. Viewed from this vantage point, then, the onset of senility should be considered a blessing rather than a curse.
