I live in a twelve-months-of-summer paradise. Every day I walk the beautiful wild beaches and take my surfboard out into the warm waves of this tropical Shangri-La. I sing, I dance, and I watch countless sunsets with my beloved wife and our fellow expat friends. But despite all of this, one day I found myself longing for a change of scenery and culture. The book in front of you is a chronicle of the days spent on vacation in Santa Fe, New Mexico a couple of years ago. It is not only a travel book, but a personal account of the events, thoughts and feelings of the author as he explored northern New Mexico while at the same time having to face the impending death of his aging mother, all from his unique perspective as a spiritual seeker.
