This is a story for children and adults alike about a soul preparing to come to earth, living, then returning to spirit to evaluate and plan again, and again, and again-oh, yes, the soul has many lives. The Littlest Soul has been procrastinating for nine billion years about coming to Earth and experiencing human life. God finally asks it for a talk, and we learn that The Littlest Soul has been in soul school for a billion and a half years, sleeping in class for a million of those years. With God nudging it, The Littlest Soul goes to the Planning Hall and meets with its Director, as they plan the outlines of The Little Soul's first life, including who will be its mother and its enemies. Needless to say, The Littlest Soul is nervous about its coming first life. The Littlest Soul returns to the spirit world after its first life to tell God about what it experienced and learned, and is told of its mistakes by both God and the Planning Director. It then gets ready to return to Earth for its second life, having planned how it will deal with its previous mistakes and how it will get closer to Mother Earth. The Littlest Soul returns once again to the world of spirit, having lived for ninety years this time, having raised eleven children, and having learned to tell tall tales. The genesis of this book are the fifty-five years the author has been studying metaphysics. It is presented in this form, first to give children an easy way to identify with The Littlest Soul, second to make it entertaining for all, third to illustrate that God is not judgmental, is tolerant of the failings of humans, is loving, and has a sense of humor.
