So Poetic

I came up with the title of my book by watching a movie that has always been my favorite movie, Poetic Justice. This book of poetry is much deeper than that. It takes you into our culture...the African-American culture...so unique, so powerful, so strong. Our Black Kings and Queens and the amazing Black Love that so many yearn for...past love, new love, how I want to be loved and how all women should be loved. But then there's a flip side...There's the heartache and being afraid to fall in love. The scar that love can leave on the heart of women and has left me. I shout out and speak on those who inspire and those who share the same story as me...stories of jealously, cheating, jealous friends, and frenemies, racism, family relationships, domestic violence, spiritual cleaning, forgiveness, and amazing intimacy. It also explores issues and gives insight into a lot of complications we endure today-some spoken on and some taboo.Why is that men cheat and women are so forgiving when they aren't cheating as well? How is that a mother and child can have such a strong connection and the jealously of a sibling can tear that apart? Why would a mother allow the jealously of one of her kids to tear apart the relationship she has with another one of her children? How can you find closure with a person from your past who cheated on you with a fake friend that was the cause of someone you were close with losing their job, yet you can't find that same closure with the person you were close with?See I had to endure all these things and still keep my head up high remembering that when it's my season to shine. I had to block the "hating fans" in order to be at peace. I had begin living the best life by putting God first. Having lost part of me, my angel baby in 2016 it changed a lot about how I viewed life. From past relationships with exes that went from good to bad to finding me to the point where I could sit down and know the type of wedding I want to how I want my funeral -I give you the good, bad and the ugly truth. I focus on those who inspire me, like Dorothy Dandridge and I want this book to do the same. I am now a Dynasty Diamond.
