The turbulent wake of chaos that we leave behind is most often worse than the addiction itself. But while traveling down that long dark tunnel, if by chance you can see even a little tiny sparkle of light, run. Run to it as fast as you can because what's waiting on the other side is one of the most beautiful miracles you will ever experience. Trust me...I'm an addict. This memoir started out as my personal journal documenting my recovery for myself. Then I realized, someone needs to read this. Is it just a documented amount of copious drug use and partying? No, it isn't. It's a story about a little girl that once held the whole world in her hands and just like grains of sand, she watched it all fall through her fingers. But hope remains. And I hope that whoever reads this finds strength from it. You all were fearlessly and wonderfully made, and while the disease of drug addiction has no prejudice, it does possess free will. God gave us that choice. Today I choose my sobriety and recovery over anything else. It is that important to me and my hope is someday it will be that important to you. Christina Giordano
