My book is the result of several years of listening to the controversy between the environmentalists and the people that supply their needs. My main objection concerns the harvesting of our timber. How can you live in a house which takes, on an average, the slaughter of ten big beautiful fir trees? Trees that, again on an average, will be replaced by nature long before the house that was built by the slaying of their mom and dad, is in need of replacing. So, you can put all that in the background as my story is written primarily for the readers entertainment. I think everyone will enjoy reading about Charlie and Virginia as they struggle thru their trials, and laugh and love thru it all. All of you that read it will read about Charlie's heritage of two generations of loggers, and Virginia's heritage of two generations that take root in England and Mexico. Virginia's mother is taken with the beauty of her adopted country, and joins the Sierra Club which Virginia also joins in her teenage years. They enjoy their outings in the parks all around them. It is only after Charlie comes along that the difference between irreplaceable minerals and easily replaceable forests is established. There is love and laughter and you'll need to read the book to see how it all came together.
