Abdullah Al-Amerikani is imprisoned as an enemy combatant in the notorious Guantanamo Bay detention camp. He suffers harrowing indignities at the hands of his interrogators. There is only one problem. The prisoner's name is Jose. Jose Rasguador is a decorated US Army Gulf War combat veteran and music lover. He struggles to retain his sanity while suffering in Guantanamo, the most improbable of places to find himself. He scours his past through a sound-tracked quest from suburban LA to the controversial US military prison. Is Jose another casualty in the prosecution of The War on Terror? Or is he simply delusional about his innocence? Through Jose's journey, Minor Key Dub tours the periods of peace and of conflict in the 90s and 00s. One man tries to navigate the landscapes wrought by neoliberal policies through life, love, loss, and ultimate meaning in a fractious world.
