When an African-American teenager & his Hispanic girlfriend enter an diner owned by an white lady, they sit at a table when an white waitress tells them to move to another table because the table that they sit at was reserved for a white couple, but they claim that there was no reserved sign placed at the table. When the owner calls the police, 2 police officers beat & baton the black kid to death & they, along with the diner owner, are acquitted for the kid's murder, which sparks the boycott of the diner & the family go to the NAACP to get justice for the black kid.
