When Kyle Chapman returns home to Bangor in Wales, his instincts quickly tell him that something is amiss in the peaceful seaside town. Accompanied by his friend Rita he soon finds himself embroiled in a dangerous quest to prevent the very sunrise itself from being stolen by pirates who seek to bring darkness to the world. They travel from Bangor to the island of Anglesey and from there to a mysterious city in the clouds. But the children discover that the answer to their quest doesn't lie on Earth at all...
