Life consumes life in order to exist. In this, we used to be simple observers, in awe of the power it held over us. Eventually, from simple observers, we had the urge to be, and thus the spectrum of death became all present. Many prefer to avoid thinking about it and some are visiting the subject from time to time.Then, there are the unlucky few overwhelmed by its presence the moment they are born; and even more the moment they can piece together coherent thoughts. They start by observing the small variations in matter, the way time affects it, the technicalities of biology and geology, on a rock spinning at one thousand miles per hour in a vast, unexplored wilderness, where the presence of their god is overwhelming."
