From My Heart, With Love, To You...My name is Sebabatso Naledi Thulo, I was born in 1995, October 31. All I know is I was scheduled to arrive on the 12th of November, but due to complications, I arrived earlier than expected. This is a reoccurring habit of mine.During the delivery of my birth, my mother was unconscious for two days. Of course, because of where my mother grew up, it was blamed on witchcraft. I say it was the birthing of my independence. The birthing of learning how to depend on something greater than my reality. The learning that no matter where you find yourself in this world, even if you are all alone without reference on how you ought to survive, there is sufficient Love to hold you together. Those who came later on and saw me at the hospital spoke of how I opened my eyes too quickly and held my head up too soon. I was inquisitive at birth. This book is a book of inspiration through poems and short real-life experiences that have led me to believe that the human spirit is so beautiful, and we really are born to love and feel things with our hearts. Whenever we are not loving and whenever our hearts are closed, we are missing out on the beauty that exists in our world. I am a teacher in real life (not to say that there is a fictional world that I sometimes live in - which there is but the point is that) I am a young Agricultural Science Teacher. But sometimes it's not the Agricultural Science that is my priority, my greatest duty is to teach learners to see the world in a way that resonates with the spirit of love found within themselves. Even greater than that, my real obligation is to SEE the learners I teach. Just to see them. To see their brilliance, to see their efforts, to see their pain and to see their insecurities as little big people. And still love them through and through. My intention with these reflections is to make you SEE. May you read these stories and poems with your heart, may you feel warmth, love and encouragement as you read. I hope it shows you that your life is an experience and a story on its own. I hope it makes you smile, I hope it makes you think, but most importantly I hope it makes you SEE.
