Mary Ann Byas-Drake: Destined And Determined To Be A Nurse

This is my account of facts, events, situations, assumptions, extrapolations, and occurrences of the significant, trivial, and everyday realities that happened during the course of Mary Ann Byas-Drake's life, from the time when I first met her in nineteen fifty-nine (1959), throughout her lifetime. Mary and I, were seventeen and nineteen-year-old kids (young adults) when we met one day, that I believe was more than a coincidence. I believe it was spiritually motivated. As I recount our story, I hope you, the reader, also can see a pathway to the same conclusion based on the events that occurred in our lives. This is love story of me and Mary Ann Byas-Drake who was also affectionately known as "Pookie." During our fifty-five (55) plus wonderful years of marriage, Mary shared one hundred percent in the blessings that helped make our story complete; and our life's journey together possible. Mary and I were spiritually connected together. I know, God blessed Mary and I, and our family more than what I can imagine we deserved.
